Rawi Hage speaks at Concordia

Concordia University’s Alumni Association holds lectures throughout the year which are open to the public. Last night they had author, and former student, Rawi Hage, talk about his latest book – Cockroach.

His previous book, De Niro’s Game, won the IMPAC Dublin Literary award, the richest award in the world for a single novel.

Although I hadn’t read either of his books, attending this talk made me think they were definitely worth reading. Hage made for an interesting and entertaining speaker, who was very witty even though he stayed quite quiet and soft spoken.
