St. George's Anglican Church

Within downtown Montreal you’ll find many sights with the old historic buildings tucked in next to the large sky scrapers. Here you see St. George’s Anglican Church, which opened in 1843 and at the time was just outside city limits. The original bells were brought in from England, however after much criticism for being too loud, they were sent away to a country church. In 1901 a new set of smaller bells rung for the first time, and were met with approval.
